I swayed into the kitchen. I might still be drunk, I thought sourly. Awkwardly bending my knees, I scanned the bottom shelf of the fridge. What should you eat for a hangover? dear sarah, yesterday I tried to swallow the sun. it burned me up on the inside until even my skin was hot to the touch, and I thought of you. As part of dA's 11th birthday celebration, the Powers That Be are running a haiku contest.

It's open to anyone, and the rules are simple: use the 5-7-5 syllable format, tie it to the theme of dA's birthday, be creative, and have fun.

The deadline for entering is Friday, August 12th. More information can be found this #hq blog post; if you're entering, it has to be posted as a comment to the blog.

I just wanted it to put this one in my gallery as well, for those who appreciate five-syllable words and math-based puns. Bonus points if you got the title without googling.
