In the spirit of KISS (Keep It Simple, Stupid) as well as our group's mission statement, here's the least you need to know:

Each contest entry will be presented as a single deviation, to be submitted to the WriMo Challenges folder.

You must be a member (or contributor) to submit, and therefore to enter this contest. To keep things fair, the group's founder, co-founders and contest judges will not be eligible for prizes.

Every poem in your entry must meet minimalit's guidelines. fav.me/d5xhqyl However, for this contest you are free to mix-and-match: haiku, senryū, and micropoetry. (But see below about themes.)

This contest starts and ends when April does. We're on the honor system here: you're free to update your entry daily, weekly, or on any other schedule. We understand that life happens.

In order to qualify for prizes, your entry must contain between 28-30 pieces; this is a poem-a-day challenge. Individually titling or numbering them is entirely up to you; we don't require it.

If you declare a theme in your deviation description (e.g. animals, the future, all senryū, only two-word micropoetry)  you will be entered into the Themed group. Otherwise, by default your piece will be considered Open Theme. Each person may only win once; the overall winner cannot also receive Best of Breed.

We'd very much appreciate it if you would mention minimalit and this contest, and place a link or thumbnail to this article, in your deviation's description.
